In the past, panel PCs were all in one systems. Everything was built into the back of the monitor. So if something went wrong with your computer or your monitor, you had to replace the entire unit.

Open Pluggable Specifications (OPS) solve this problem by separating the computer and the monitor into two systems that are powered by just one source. In a typical OPS setup, the computing unit slides into the back of the monitor and connects via gold key finger connections.

It looks like one unit, but if you ever need to upgrade the screen or the brain of the unit, or if either fails, you can separate the two parts and replace what needs to be fixed. This is easier and less expensive than replacing both parts.
