Rugged Computer Solutions 

For industrial applications set in harsh environments, we offer rugged computer solutions as well. These systems are housed in a durable, seamless chassis that can operate in high temperatures without getting clogged down by dust or debris. 

All such systems feature fanless cooling to reduce power intake and eliminate a common point of failure in standard embedded computers. Some of them are even waterproof and can operate in a much wider temperature range than normal. 

And none of this comes at the cost of performance. Our rugged computers are outfitted with powerful processors and even GPUs for AI applications. 


The hardware specification of an embedded PC is not everything. With the right expansion card, you can add more functionality to a board. This is why Global American offers a wide range of peripherals for customizing embedded systems. 

There are ethernet cards using the latest M.2 protocol, with versions for both normal systems and embedded PCs with a smaller form factor. We also have PSE modules to supply power to smaller devices through Ethernet cables.  

Legacy ports like the IEEE 1394a port can be integrated into modern boards using specialized adapter cards, allowing them to function alongside older devices. Our products include other uncommon peripherals as well, like a DC power converter or a mini-PCIe adapter. 

Industrial Storage Devices 

Server racks and other industrial embedded computers require storage devices that are fast and responsive. We provide both SSDs and complete mSATA modules that can work at a wide temperature range without issues. 

These are industrial-grade SSDs, capable of withstanding temperatures up to 70°C. Some options can function at even 85°C, covering even the most extreme conditions a rugged embedded system could be deployed in.  

The capacity ranges from 4GB to 256GB, meeting the diverse requirements of different data storage applications. This makes these storage units the perfect choice for low-scale systems as well, increasing data storage and access speed without significant upkeep. 

Network Appliances 

Network appliances are at the heart of any high-performance chain of systems, whether it is surveillance or data centers for cloud computing. Our roster includes specialized systems with high memory and a multitude of Ethernet ports for accommodating these needs. 

We have dedicated surveillance platforms possessing dual SSD drive bays and HDMI video-out ports, making them perfectly suited for powering high-density surveillance networks. More powerful Intel Core based networking systems are available for more complex applications like traffic security as well. 

Almost all of our embedded computers geared toward networking come with expansion slots to install additional LAN ports, further increasing the scope of their connectivity. That is on top of standard I/O options like USB 3.0 or legacy serial ports.
